The following positions are available:
- Entry Level Recruit Officers - $33,000 annually with a salary increase to $37,000 with High School or GED; $37,925 with Associates; or $38,850 with Bachelors Degree, after Phase III of the training program.
- BLET Certified Graduates - $33,000 annually with a salary increase to $37,000 with High School or GED; $37,925 with Associates or $38,850 with Bachelors Degree, after Phase III of the abbreviated training program.
- Lateral Entry Officers - $34,320 annually with a salary increase to $38,480 with High School or GED; $39,442 with Associates or $40,404 with Bachelors Degree upon completion of the abbreviated training program. (Certified with minimum two years sworn full-time experience)
Local applicants should attend an open house information session to fill out a City of Durham application. For dates and times, please see the Recruiting Calendar. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Business casual attire is required to attend the open houses. Out-of-town applicants should call or email a recruiter for instructions.
